Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun has declined to give a view on Japan's announcement that its House of Representatives has been formally dissolved. Speaking at a regular news briefing on Friday, Guo described the dissolution as Japan's internal affair.

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's cabinet on Friday adopted a decision to dissolve the House of Representatives. According to Xinhua, the lower house will formally disband at the outset of this year's ordinary parliamentary session.
