The outlook for China's high-quality development remains highly encouraging with the country staying firmly committed to reforms, said Asif S. Cheema, the Asian Development Bank's country director for China. He noted that China's development plan for the next five years underscores the government's continued emphasis on high-quality development, including greater investment in people and efforts to expand domestic consumption. These measures represent positive steps in the right direction, Cheema said in a recent interview with China Daily.
