Yiwu's import-export volume exceeds 700 billion yuan

Yiwu, a major trade hub in Zhejiang province, saw its import and export volume reached 701.19 billion yuan ($99.25 billion) in the first 10 months of this year, setting a new record for the same period, China Media Group reported on Wednesday.

The number surpassed the full-year import and export scale of 2024 and represented a year-on-year increase of 25.2 percent.

Among these, exports grew by 24.4 percent, while imports increased by 31.1 percent.Xu Xiaobing, deputy director of the statistical analysis division at Yiwu Customs, said in the first 10 months, the city has engaged in import and export trade with 230 countries and regions.

Xu added that in terms of trade markets, the city's imports and exports with Africa and Latin America grew by 21.8 percent and 14 percent, respectively. Trade with ASEAN countries saw particularly strong growth, with imports and exports increasing by 51 percent.
