The Pulse is just one of more than 100 projects which will feature throughout the week of events, which spans the entire 798 district. Themed "Endless Life", the inaugural program runs until Sunday, with forums, live music, AI-driven theater and outdoor exhibitions, many making their national debut, included.
Nearly all activities are free to the public, according to Beijing 798 Culture and Technology Co, which has organized the Week in collaboration with leading cultural and tech companies.
The organizers are aiming to position the initiative as one of the most influential cultural and tech events of Beijing's winter season, and say they are expecting 400,000 visitors to flood the 24/7 public art gallery that is 798 over the next week.
