The 8th China International Import Expo Shanghai Putuo Investment Promotion Conference, themed "Putuo Connects the World", was held at the T-Center in Shanghai's Putuo district on Nov 8.

During the conference, 35 key projects were signed to be established in the Putuo district, covering strategic sectors such as artificial intelligence and new energy vehicles. These projects align with the district's regional industrial orientation and are expected to drive significant economic growth and innovation.

In an effort to actively support the construction of the Shanghai-Nanjing Industrial Innovation Belt initiative, the Putuo district has implemented 51 key projects this year. These include six major projects and 45 additional projects, with investments totaling billions and tens of millions of yuan, respectively.

Further expanding its global reach, the district unveiled its third global investment promotion service collaboration point in Singapore. Additionally, six overseas investment partners were signed, including prominent names such as Colliers International, Hang Seng Bank Shanghai Branch, and Deloitte China. These partnerships aim to more accurately connect with overseas innovation elements and proactively link global talent projects, injecting new momentum into Putuo's high-level opening-up to the outside world.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Putuo district achieved an impressive annual average revenue growth rate of 10.8 percent, outpacing Shanghai's average by 6.2 percentage points.

Officials emphasized that by leveraging the platform of the CIIE, this conference aims to showcase the unlimited potential of Putuo district's regional economic development to global exhibitors and enterprises.
