From physical strength in agricultural societies to knowledge in the industrial era—each age of human civilization has been shaped by a distinct form of capability. Now, as artificial intelligence reshapes the world, a pressing question emerges: what will anchor human value in the age of AI?

At a forum during the 2025 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, Li Yi, founder of YBC (Beijing) Technology Co, Ltd, shared his perspective in an interview with China Daily on Saturday. He emphasized that AI will not replace humans, but instead should push humanity to further develop what truly sets us apart: our cognitive abilities.
