The 2025 World Cities Day China Observance commenced on Tuesday in Southwest China's Chongqing, carrying the goal of developing smart cities with people in mind.

The event highlighted the municipality's innovative urban governance strategies and promoted global collaboration and knowledge exchange to enhance sustainable city development.
