In the exhibition hall, visitors eagerly took photos in front of clusters of pink mushrooms, which became the focus of the modern fungi demonstration area.
"These pink and translucent mushrooms are not dyed but naturally colored through gene editing technology," Duan said. "The new variety of mushrooms has much higher nutritional value than traditional varieties, which has become a popular product among visitors."
