China's major battery maker unveils latest tech at global fair in Shenzhen

Major Chinese battery manufacturer presented its latest technologies at the just-concluded 17th China International Battery Fair (CIBF 2025) in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, highlighting its cylindrical, polymer, and prismatic battery lines.
For its cylindrical range, BAK Battery unveiled a tabless battery matrix across its 18, 21, and 46 series cells, aimed at enhancing discharge performance, endurance, and safety. Its PRO-M high-safety battery meets updated national safety standards for electric two-wheelers, including nail penetration tests.
In polymer batteries, BAK focused on solid-state technology, announcing plans to launch a 390Wh/kg solid-state battery by the end of 2025. These products target high-performance applications such as safety equipment, battery swapping, and eVTOL. BAK also displayed consumer-grade polymer pouch batteries used in mobile devices and smart home electronics.
In the energy storage segment, BAK introduced its 688Ah prismatic cell, designed to reduce cost per watt-hour and support high-quality development in clean energy.
