More than 620 Chinese suspects in Myawaddy, Myanmar, were repatriated in recent campaigns jointly launched by China, Myanmar and Thailand to crack down on cross-border telecommunications fraud, the Ministry of Public Security said on Monday.

The ministry said in a statement that departments from the three countries held a ministerial-level coordinating meeting in Bangkok on jointly tackling cross-border telecom and cyberspace fraud on Friday.

The meeting was said to be an important milestone achievement in the joint efforts, and it was pointed out at the meeting that the three countries should set up a regular coordinating mechanism for combating telecom fraud and continue repatriation of suspects.
