Shanghai airports see single-day passenger flow cross 410,000 passenger trips
Shanghai's two airports reported their single-day passenger flow crossed the mark of 410,000 passenger trips for the first time on Monday, according to the Shanghai Airport (Group) Co Ltd.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport handled 398,000 passenger trips on Saturday (Feb 1), 404,000 passenger trips on Sunday (Feb 2) and 412,000 passenger trips on Monday (Feb 3), which all set new records for single-day volume.
In specific, the Shanghai Pudong International Airport handled 264,000 passenger trips, and 148,000 passenger trips were made via the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport.
The two airports have deployed more staff at various procedures of both departure and arrival on Tuesday, a peak traveling time, as most passengers made their return trip on the last day of the Spring Festival holiday.
