As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, international students from Hebei University of Engineering in Handan, a city in North China's Hebei province, recently participated in a mooncake-making session under the guidance of a local master.

Mooncakes are traditional baked goods enjoyed by Chinese people during this festival. The ones crafted by the students stand out for their thin crusts molded into various shapes, each symbolizing a different cultural narrative. Through this experience of making mooncakes, they were able to immerse themselves in the historical and cultural heritage of Handan.

Handan is renowned for its historical significance, having given rise to numerous Chinese idioms such as "Handan xue bu" (learn to walk in Handan). This particular idiom warns people not to lose their individuality in pursuit of copying the style of others.
