A grand collective ancient wedding ceremony was held in Shangxiahang historical and cultural block in Fuzhou, capital of East China's Fujian province, on Tuesday. One hundred newlywed couples, dressed in traditional Chinese attire, exchanged vows amid warm blessings, marking the beginning of their new life together.

The streets, adorned with red ribbons and festive decorations, exuded an atmosphere of traditional romance. To the sound of elegant music, the couples, wearing wedding garments with style from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and holding red silk ribbons, walked down the ancient stone steps, completing a traditional ceremony amid cheers.
