Changchun sees its marathon kick off on Sunday

The 2024 Hongqi Changchun Marathon kicked off in Changchun, Jilin province, on Sunday.
The event, including a full marathon, a half-marathon and a health run, attracted 30,000 participants from around the world.
Along the 42.195-kilometer track, participants appreciated Changchun's most distinctive urban routes, unique architectures and historic cultural districts, which highlight the city's unique characteristics and cultural heritage.
After fierce competition, Douglass Kimeli Kippugut from Kenya won the men's full marathon, and Melkitu Workneh Geremew from Ethiopia won the women's.
