The Boluodan Temple Fair, the oldest and grandest folk temple fair in the Pearl River Delta region, opened on Tuesday evening in the Huangpu district of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, and will last until Friday.

The fair demonstrates the district's rich historical and cultural heritage, according to the organizers.

The evening's opening ceremony, themed "Dragon soaring across the seas, embarking on a new journey", featured a series of programs including music, acrobatics, dance, and Cantonese opera.

Tourists were invited to visit the South China Sea Temple, the birthplace of Maritime Silk Road culture, to savor a gourmet feast, enjoy traditional performances and experience local customs.
