Strategic cooperation to explore new opportunities

Eyeing new development opportunities on both sides, Shandong province's Weihai High-tech Zone and Yunnan province's Chuxiong High-tech Zone signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement last week.

At the symposium, both sides provided detailed introductions on development history, geographical location, industrial development, enterprise cultivation, scientific and technological innovation, institutional mechanisms, and supporting services, with a focus on in-depth discussions on the cultivation of small- and medium-sized enterprises, construction of innovation carriers and enterprise exchanges.

A strategic cooperation framework agreement was also inked, according to which both parties will adhere to resource sharing and complementary advantages, leverage their strengths, actively explore new paths and mechanisms for regional cooperation, accelerate the cultivation and development of new quality productive forces, achieve the connection between mountains and seas, promote the sharing of clouds and seas, and advance common development.

Wang Xueqin, director of Yunnan Provincial Department of Science and Technology; Wang Xiujiang, deputy governor of Chuxiong government; and Mei Yanliang, secretary of the Party Working Committee of Weihai High-tech Zone, attended the signing ceremony.
