Winter tourists enjoy unique sights as cold wave hits Hunan

Beautiful snow and ice scenes attracted many tourists to Huangshizhai in the National Forest Park of Zhangjiajie, Hunan province, on Thursday.

Hunan is undergoing the strongest cold wave in 50 years, accompanied by icy rain and snow which has swept through most of the province since Tuesday. The average temperature has dropped by 18.2 C.

The cold wave is expected to continue until next week.
