China's installed power generation capacity jumps 13.6%

China's installed power generation capacity surged 13.6 percent year-on-year to 2.85 billion kilowatts during the first 11 months this year, according to the latest figures released by the National Energy Administration. 

The installed capacity of solar power soared 49.9 percent to 560 million kilowatts, while that of wind power rose 17.6 percent to about 410 million kilowatts, it said.

Meanwhile, major power generation enterprises nationwide completed investment in power projects amounting to 771.3 billion yuan ($107.94 billion), up 39.6 percent year-on-year.

Among them, 320.9 billion yuan was invested in solar power generation, up 60.5 percent year-on-year. Nuclear power generation investments rose to 77.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 45.3 percent. Wind power investments climbed 33.7 percent year-on-year to 202 billion yuan while that of power grid projects amounted to 445.8 billion yuan, up 5.9 percent year-on-year.
