China's Minister of Commerce meets with CEO of Micron Technology to promote investment and cooperation

China's Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with Sanjay Mehrotra, president and CEO of the American chip company Micron Technology in Beijing on Wednesday, according to a statement published by the ministry on Friday.

Wang said China is steadfast in promoting high-level opening-up, continuously optimizing the foreign investment environment, and providing service guarantees for foreign-funded enterprises.

China welcomes Micron to continue to take root and deeply cultivate the Chinese market, and achieve better development while complying with Chinese laws and regulations, Wang said.

Mehrotra expressed the willingness to continue expanding investment in China during the meeting, according to the statement.
