The 2023 China Family Sailing Race - Mount Lushan Xihai Lake Stop ends


The 2023 China Family Sailing Race - Mount Lushan Xihai Lake Stop and the Third Mount Lushan Xihai Lake International Sailing Race ended on Saturday, Sept 23rd. More than 150 sailing enthusiasts from 49 families who are from countries such as China, the United States, Russia and Hungary competed in the two days in Hobie T1, Hobie T2, and FE28 sailboats categories.
The China Family Sailing Race is coming to Mount Lushan Xihai Lake for the third time. Fu Danqing, vice-chairman of the China Sailing and Windsurfing Association, said by hosting sailing events such as the family sailing race, more and more families will get to love sailing and explore the charm of the sport. The competition at Mount Lushan's Xihai Lake allows the participating families to enjoy the lovely scenery and delicious food, as well as appreciate the local customs and surroundings during the race.

Sun Jia, 11, is participating in the China Family Sailing Race for the second time with her family, "I feel that the sailors and coaches are very friendly, the scenery here is very beautiful, and I think, sailing with my parents is quite fun."
A tourist surnamed Chen said watching the sailing race is quite an experience. "From the opening ceremony to the actual competition, everything is so spectacular. The seed of interest has already been planted in me and hopefully, I will take part in the Family Sailing Race in the near future," she said.
