Global Premium Duty Free Plaza Huawei store boasts top-tier high-technology

"Do you have the latest Huawei Mate 60 in the store?" A customer surnamed Li from Liaoning asked the staff at the Global Premium Duty Free Plaza (GDF Plaza) Huawei Authorized Store in Haikou, South China's Hainan province.

Another customer surnamed Liu, meanwhile, was exploring and testing the functions of a Mate 60 pro model phone in store and remarked, "I've visited numerous offline and online shops with relatively high tax-inclusive prices, but having the option to pre-order without any markup right here is truly fantastic!"

Since Chinese tech giant Huawei released its new Mate 60 smartphone series on Sept 3, nearly a hundred customers on average come to the GDF Huawei Authorized Store every day, all seeking information and making purchases of the latest products.

"Its camera and screen resolution are truly outstanding. Its satellite call support and domestic 5G connectivity have also caught my interest," said a customer surnamed Zhao.

"I can see clearly the prowess of self-developed Chinese chipsets and the remarkable technological leap in this new product. I hope that domestic chipsets will continue to be improved, and GDF can help to demonstrate Chinese technology to the world," she added.

The Huawei Authorized Store officially set foot in GDF on March 30, with the primary aim of promoting its debut and showcasing top-tier high-tech consumer brands in Hainan.

Shi Haoshou, head of the store, noted that the Huawei Mate 60 series' products in GDF boast competitive pricing and availability.

"The new models are anticipated to be in stock around Sept 20 without any price markups, and our store currently supports pre-orders with a deposit," he said.

To enhance the shopping experience for customers, GDF has rolled out an event that combines duty free with digitalization. It includes a trendy internet celebrity's phone case, Huawei pad open class, digital salons and GDF Huawei online photography contest.

The launch of the Huawei Mate 60 series in GDF will serve as an ongoing opportunity to introduce high-quality Chinese tech products to consumers, supporting the development of Chinese local brands and technology, and driving consumption growth and contributing to the high-quality development of Hainan's international tourism consumption center, according to GDF.
