Book series details Party's achievements

The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing on Tuesday released a book series on the historical experience accumulated from the endeavors of the Communist Party of China over the past century.

Each book in the 10-volume series features one of the 10 points of historical experience summarized in the "Resolution of the CPC Central Committee on the Major Achievements and Historical Experience of the Party over the Past Century", which was made public on Nov 16,2021.

These 10 points include upholding the Party's leadership, putting the people first, advancing theoretical innovation, staying independent and following the Chinese path.

With the latest materials and vivid examples, the series helps readers see why the Party made these major achievements in the past 102 years, and figure out how the Party will be able to continue to succeed in the future, according to Xin Xiangyang, director of the Academy of Marxism at CASS, who served as editor-in-chief of the book series and author of the volume that explains the idea of "remaining committed to self-reform".

Xin said the series, written by 10 scholars on Marxist studies, provides a panoramic depiction of the Party's 100 years of history during which its members experienced struggles and sacrifice, and kept benefiting the people and advancing national rejuvenation.

While clarifying some partial understanding toward the Party, he said the book series attaches great importance to summarizing past experiences to help advance theoretical innovation and deepen the understanding of the Chinese path to modernization, the development of a new form of human civilization, and the building of a modern Chinese civilization.

Gao Peiyong, vice-president of CASS, said the 10 points of historical experience are a systematic and interconnected whole and a valuable intellectual treasure for the Party.

They have revealed the fundamental guarantee for the continuous success of the cause of the Party and the people, the source of strength that keeps the Party in an invincible position, the fundamental reason why the Party has always grasped the historical initiative, and the ultimate way the Party keeps its advanced nature and purity and remains at the forefront of the times, Gao said.
