The first International Cooperation and Development Conference for Young Entrepreneurs will be held in Beijing from April 25 to 26, a spokesperson said at the media briefing for the event on Wednesday.

The conference, which will explore new ways of achieving global economic recovery in the post-pandemic era, has attracted 200 heads of foreign chambers of commerce, business organizations and representatives of young entrepreneurs from nearly 50 countries.

An extensive and in-depth dialogue is expected under the theme of "Revitalizing Growth, Win-win Cooperation" during the two-day conference, said Jia Tiesong, deputy director of the China International Youth Exchange Center.

The main forum on global economic recovery is scheduled to cover topics including the new path of global recovery, improving the stability of industrial and supply chains, and multilateral cooperation for mutual benefit.

A parallel forum of Liangma International Dialogue will be held, focusing on green, digital and smart manufacturing, and another parallel forum titled the ASEAN+3 Young Entrepreneurs Dialogue will focus on the new pattern of regional economic integration. The latter discussion is invitation-only.

The conference has generated an overwhelming international response, with former French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin recording a congratulatory video for the opening ceremony.

Tom Luckock, vice-president of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in China, Abhishek Kumar, president of the Entrepreneurs Association of India and Luis Rubio, president of the Spain Chamber of Commerce in China, will also participate.

During the conference, the establishment of the International Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs Associations, a new platform for international cooperation among young entrepreneurs to serve the Belt and Road Initiative and the open world economy, will be announced.

On-site questionnaires will be conducted among 200 experts or professionals in various fields during the three sessions, and instant results will be shown on the screen.

These questions are related to the theme of the conference, including the outlook on global economic recovery, the best destinations for investment, the main drivers of economic growth, and factors affecting the stability of the supply chain, Jia said.

The conference will also arrange activities for visiting Chinese companies to have a comprehensive understanding of the country and the development of its economy, said Xin Pengda, head of CIYEC’s Economical Cooperation Department.

Participants will visit the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, also known as Beijing ETown, to view the performance of autonomous vehicles, the Lize financial business area in Fengtai district and the Digital Currency Institute of the People’s Bank of China, among others.
