China supplies 5.14b fever reducing tablets to the country

China has supplied 5.14 billion tablets of ibuprofen and paracetamol in total as of Tuesday, as the country is going all out to ensure production of key medical supplies, such as fever reducing medicines, the country's top industry regulator said on Wednesday.
Tian Yulong, chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at a news conference that the combined domestic daily production volume of ibuprofen and paracetamol has been exceeding 200 million tablets for 17 consecutive days.
Now, the daily production volume of invasive ventilators has increased by 239 percent, compared with that of January 1, hitting 1,808 units, Tian said.
According to him, the daily output of oxygen generators has increased by 280 percent within four days, and the maximum daily output exceeds 20,000 units.
"The supply of oxygen concentrators can meet the basic needs of medical institutions," Tian said.
