UK expert: China's leveling-up a remarkable thing

During an interview with China Daily, Martin Albrow, emeritus professor at the Academy of Social Sciences, United Kingdom, said leveling-up within society was a remarkable thing in China over the past 10 years.

Albrow pointed out that China's development has a social purpose instead of development at all costs.

Professor Albrow also shared his views on China-UK relations with the two sides under new leadership. He said, "there is no reason to think we can't have a very stable relationship with China in the future" while highlighting that the UK, which is vacillating about its attitudes towards China, will decide how good the bilateral relationship will become.
