The two-day trade and investment matchmaking conference of the fifth CIIE has concluded on Monday, with accumulated intended turnover exceeding $4 billion, CCTV News App reported on Tuesday.

More than 1,100 enterprises from over 50 countries and regions have engaged in rounds of one-to-one negotiations during the past two days, with cross-border matchmaking activities also held online, the report said.

Upholding the concept of "turning exhibits into commodities and exhibitors into investors", the conference boosted cross-border cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises at home and abroad, according to the Bureau of the China International Import Expo, which marks its fifth anniversary and will last from Nov 5 to 10 in China's economic hub Shanghai.

A special section for innovation incubation matchmaking was also held at this year's CIIE, which was built for dredging contact channels between local governments, industrial parks, financial institutions and innovation incubation exhibitors, according to the Bureau.
