A recollection of key moments from the CIIE stories

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the China International Import Expo. The CIIE Bureau and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) launched the "My CIIE Story "activity on June 1 to invite people who were involved in the previous editions to share their stories and have received a great number of warm responses so far. We have published the excellent works of "My CIIE Story" in succession. In July, the stories centered on "grand strategy", which showcased the CIIE's role in promoting key national strategies, diplomatic relationships and international public good. In August, more stories with the theme "big market", which showcased how the CIIE shared the benefits of the Chinese market with the world, were published. In September, stories with the theme "prominent platform", which revealed how the CIIE turned exhibits into commodities and exhibitors into investors, were released. October saw several participants of the CIIE tell their stories themed around "great opportunity" to emphasize the positive changes the expo had made to the world and how it had helped build a community with a shared future for mankind since its inception.

Over the past five years, many foreign companies have developed greater confidence and increased their investments in China through the expo. Numerous organizations and individuals have gained memorable experiences during the fair and witnessed its spillover effects.

These stories are related to international procurement, investment promotion, cultural exchange and open cooperation. And they have embodied the ideas of connecting the Chinese and global market, industrial integration, innovation promotion, and aligning regulations with rules.
