The fifth Hongqiao International Economic Forum for China International Import Expo will focus on "global openness", The Paper reported on Saturday.

Themed "Stimulation of Opening-up Impetus and Sharing of Cooperation Opportunities", many highlights are expected from the sub-forums of this event.

Apart from the main forum, or the Opening Ceremony of CIIE and Hongqiao Forum, a high-level forum entitled "RCEP Spurs Higher-level Opening Up" is expected to be held together with an International Symposium on Release of World Openness Report 2022.

Meanwhile, many parallel forums are expected to be held in three sections: "Opening-up: Responsibilities and Actions", "Opening-up: Governance Mechanisms" and "Opening-up: Sharing Achievements".

The sub-forum on "China-Singapore Trade in Services Innovation" under "Opening-up: Responsibilities and Actions" section is expected to be held on Nov 6.

With the support of the Commerce Ministry and Singapore's Ministry of Trade & Industry, four sessions of "China-Singapore Trade in Services Innovation" has already been held successfully.

This year's sub-forum will further set international economic and trade rules as a benchmark and communicate on topics such as the building of pilot free trade zones, China-Singapore digital trade cooperation, opening-up of the service sector, digital infrastructure construction and cross-border data flow.

During the forum, parallel activities are expected, which include the International Round Table for Multinational Enterprises, sub-forums on Supply Chain and Trade Innovation, and International Medical Services, and the Fourth Jinji Lake Modern Service Industry Summit & Jinji Lake Business Summit Forum.

High-level leaders of a number of multinational enterprises will be invited to gather at the forum to promote the alignment of trade in services and promote practical cooperation, the report said.
