Record-breaking CIFIT sees 480 project deals and more

More than 480 project deals with a combined investment value of 342 billion yuan ($49.38 billion) were signed at the 22nd China International Fair for Investment and Trade, or CIFIT, which concluded on Sunday in Xiamen, Fujian province, according to the organizers.

Themed as "global development: sharing digital opportunities, investing in green future" this year, the four-day fair had an exhibition area of around 120,000 square meters and hosted more than 41 conferences and forums as well as more than 50 investment negotiation and project matchmaking events.

Several reports by Chinese commerce authorities on topics such as foreign direct investment and outbound foreign direct investment were also released at the fair.

The fair attracted more than 800 industrial and trade groups, more than 4,000 enterprises, and about 60,000 business people from over 90 countries and regions, making a record in term of the number of fair participators and exhibition visitors.
