BAIC launches gas SUV with Huawei tech

BAIC Bluepark, which owns the Arcfox and Beijing marques, launched a gasoline Beijing-branded SUV on Thursday in Changsha, capital of Central China's Hunan province.

With prices ranging from 99,900 yuan ($14,815) to 153,900 yuan, the SUV, called Mofang, is available in six varieties. BAIC Bluepark said the Mofang is the first gasoline model to feature Huawei's Harmony operating system.

The model measures 4,620 millimeters in length, 1,886 mm in width and 1,680 mm in height. It features a 14.6-inch center console display and a 60-inch augmented reality head-up display.

It has 23 sensors including cameras and radars, offering drivers Level 2 driving-assist functions including automatic parking and lane keeping.

The Mofang sports a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and a seven-speed transmission. It generates a maximum output of 138 kilowatts and a top torque of 305 Newton meters. It can accelerate from 0-100 kilometers per hour in 7.84 seconds.
