NetDragon helps Fujian tap into education metaverse

NetDragon Websoft Holdings Ltd, a Chinese education and gaming company, is stepping up its push to tap into the metaverse, as it showcases its latest artificial intelligence technologies at the fifth Digital China summit which ended in Fuzhou, Fujian province on Sunday.

The move came after NetDragon's business footprint has expanded to more than 192 countries and regions in the world, accumulating over 150 million users. The Fuzhou-based company has also established strategic cooperation agreements with partners in more than 20 countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Xiong Li, CEO of NetDragon, said at the summit company aims to help Fujian build the world's largest production base for content tailor-made for the education metaverse.

NetDragon has built a learning content library with 3D education materials and AI learning curricula. It has also developed and launched a string of integrated educational devices, including smart boards and panels as well as feedback and evaluation systems, with many of its products and services being sold to public schools and governments both in China and oversears markets such as Egypt.

At the summit, NetDragon showcased its latest technologies related to the metaverse, such as digital humans, "face-swapping" AI technologies and immersive virtual interview halls enabled by virtual reality.
