Jiangsu province reported 66 asymptomatic carriers of COVID-19 on Monday, with 34 registered in Wuxi, according to the provincial health commission on Tuesday.

While Wuxi registered the most carriers, 31 others were reported in Xuzhou and one in Nanjing. As of Tuesday, Wuxi had 24 areas designated as high-risk and 12 as medium-risk, while Xuzhou has eight as high-risk and 10 medium-risk.

Of the 11,711 samples collected from the community where the infected were found in Wuxi on Monday afternoon, 200 tested positive for COVID-19, according to the city's health commission.

Wuxi has traced and quarantined more than 10,000 contacts of the infected. Jiangsu province has postponed some exams that were scheduled for early July to contain the spread of the virus.

The province now has 261 asymptomatic cases quarantined and 25 confirmed cases receiving treatment at designated hospitals.
