Playing musical instruments, poem chanting, gymnastics and yoga were all in evidence at the Tibet College of Buddhism in Lhasa, Tibet autonomous region, as the college hosted its annual sports meet in its courtyard on Wednesday.
Unlike previous sports meets, this year's events — including health gymnastics of Tibetan medicinal science, a yoga show and a catwalk by Tibetan monks and nuns — were part of the opening ceremony, China News Service reported.
As an extracurricular interest, monks and nuns meditate and practice yoga during their leisure time.
The meet will last three days, with 45 events, including track and field events and entertaining games.
