Beijing Guoan terminates contract with Brazilian player Silva after 8 games

BEIJING -- Beijing Guoan announced on Friday it has terminated its contract with Brazilian player Anderson Silva after eight games.
The 24-year-old midfielder joined Beijing Guoan on a reported two-million euro transfer last July, but had to wait until December 13 to make his debut in a Chinese Super League (CSL) tie against Guangzhou FC.
Silva played his last game with the Beijing side on January 4 against Shenzhen FC.
"He played eight matches for Beijing Guoan and scored two goals. The club thanks him for his contribution," Beijing Guoan said in a statement.
Also on Friday, Beijing Guoan on its official website unveiled its three new signings, which are Nigerian striker Samuel Adegbenro, Croatian forward Marko Dabro and South Korean defender Kang Sang-Woo.
The kick-off date of the 2022 CSL campaign remains undecided.
