Chinese shares close higher Wednesday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.96 percent, at 3,266.6 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 3.1 percent higher at 12,263.8 points.
