"I am paid 60 yuan per hour," Yu said with pride.

On June 10, a decision to include Zhejiang as a demonstration zone for common prosperity was announced in a guideline jointly released by the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council, China's Cabinet.

The development of industries in rural areas and the realization of common prosperity in the long run are highly dependent on people living in the villages, Ye said.

"Nobody knows the villages better than the people who have lived there for decades. The participation of villagers can greatly improve the efficiency of startups like ours," he said.

It is very important that villages not fall behind in terms of the application of modern technologies such as big data and cloud computing, Ye said. Such technologies are needed in the construction of new infrastructure in villages, crop cultivation, homestay businesses and restaurant management, as well as the promotion of cultural heritage, Ye said.

"With the help of digital and green technologies, incomes will be increased in rural areas and villagers' lives will be substantially improved," he added.
