Noting that China and Mongolia are important friendly neighbors, Xi said that to maintain, consolidate and develop bilateral ties conforms to the fundamental and long-term interests of the two countries.
Oyun-Erdene said that the hosting of the Beijing Winter Olympics amid the pandemic boosted the world's confidence to win the fight against the pandemic, and added that Mongolia firmly opposes politicizing sports.
Mongolia is willing to deepen cooperation with China and work to make the Mongolia-China relationship a model of exchanges between neighboring countries and of international relations, he said.
