Jerry Wang, president of Siemens Healthineers (Greater) China

The saying that "the ocean takes water from all rivers; its greatness comes from its inclusion" perfectly reflects my impression of the CIIE and President Xi's opening speech. Rather than a routine exhibition event, the CIIE has been attracting innovative companies and resources of all aspects to interconnect with and empower each other through the CIIE platform. Siemens Healthineers is also attracted to the CIIE and has achieved stable and high-quality development in China through the accelerated platform of the CIIE. As a result, China now is the world's second-largest market for Siemens Healthineers and it continues to grow with increased investment in innovation and local R&D.

China's commitment to drive high-quality opening-up in the healthcare industry has fueled the country's persistent efforts in enhancing the healthcare innovation ecosystem to support building a community of a shared healthy future. Thus, Siemens Healthineers participated in the CIIE for the fourth consecutive time, not only bringing breakthrough healthcare technologies to China with zero leap time, but also acting as one of the founding members of the CIIE Medical Device Professional Committee, which will enable us to carry out efficient collaboration with industry partners, related government organizations, and even cross-border companies. All of what we do aims to support innovation and the healthy development of the industry and ultimately improve the quality of people's health and well-being to a new height.

The successful opening of the CIIE, despite the pandemic and other challenges, strengthens our confidence in the bright future. Through continuous innovation centered around Chinese people's most urgent health demands, Siemens Healthineers will never change our ambition to transform health to become more precise, more humanized and more accessible. This is also how we envision the future of a moderately prosperous society.
