For many enterprises, the China International Import Expo is increasingly becoming an excellent place for self promotion and communication with businesses partners, as China's economy gains firmer footing and keeps growing.

"CIIE is not only a great opportunity for exhibition but also a super excellent platform for us to connect to and understand the upstream and downstream cooperative partners," said Hao Zhigang, chairman of Adisseo Company, a French brand in additives for animal feed, during the 4th CIIE in Shanghai on Saturday.

According to Hao, this is the fourth time the company is taking part in the CIIE, through which they have signed strategic cooperative agreements with China's food companies such as New Hope, Sunner, Mengniu and Bright Dairy.

"The CIIE has enabled us to meet high-quality customers, who have praised us highly and paid high attention to our products, and expressed their purchasing and cooperation intentions. Therefore, the expo has indeed brought us great opportunities, which have also strengthened our confidence to bring the world's best products to China and to Chinese consumers."

"In this expo, we have brought a set of innovative product portfolio, including our world-leading palatability agents and emulsifiers, which help animals better absorb nutrients in feeding so that animals can grow more healthily with less consumption of main raw materials. Another new product is our single-cell protein product, which is planned to be launched on the market next year. It is a protein product derived from a disruptive fermentation technology, which can be used in aquaculture and animal breeding, and can replace the consumption of plants," said Hao.

Hao said China carries enormous business chances and huge potential as Chinese consumers continue to upgrade the demand for high quality food, and China's population keeps growing.

"Facts have confirmed our judgment. Our sales and profits in China have been growing rapidly in recent years. Compared with the same period last year, the sales revenue of our special products increased by about 60 percent at the beginning of this year, and some products even doubled their increase in 2021.

Adisseo sees China as one of the most crucial strategic markets and is bullish on China's fodder and food industry.

According to Hao, Adisseo introduced methionine production to China in 2009, and continued to increase its investment after establishing the largest liquid methionine project in China in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province. "At present, the second phase of the Nanjing Adisseo project is under construction. The total investment of our Nanjing project has reached nearly 9 billion yuan ($1.41 billion). After the completion of the new installation, the total capacity of the Nanjing Adisseo production platform will double. The second phase is expected to start production in 2022," he said.

"China's development is an opportunity for the world. With the ideas of sharing, innovation and mutual benefit, the CIIE promotes free flow for global factors. In the past few years, Adisseo has been deeply involved in China's reform and opening up process, and has achieved considerable development. In the future, Adisseo will increase its presence in China, connect the Chinese market with the entire international market," Hao noted adding, during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), more than 60-70 percent of Adisseo's investment will be in China.
