Initiative unveiled to attract overseas Chinese talent
The Asia America Multi-Technology Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading entrepreneurship, is stepping up its push to help overseas Chinese talents return to the country to start their own businesses or seek better job opportunities.
The move comes as the domestic market sees a booming demand for talented overseas Chinese.
The Asia America Multi-Technology Association unveiled the initiative Haizhi Yaolan, roughly translated as "Cradle of Overseas Wisdom", to help overseas Chinese students return and find better jobs or start their businesses in China.
The Asia America Multi-Technology Association is a leading hub attracting elites and professionals from the science, technology and business worlds. It aims to become a friendly social center intertwining high-tech businesses, financial and other related sectors, as well as a cradle cultivating technology and business leaders in China.
Ba Ran, general manager of the branding and marketing center at online job-hunting platform Liepin, said from the perspectives of both supply and demand there is a rising trend of overseas Chinese students returning to the country for employment opportunities.
The domestic market has a surging demand for overseas returnees, and it is now a golden period for overseas students to come back to China, Ba said.
The supply of mid-to-high-end talents is still not enough compared to market demands, especially in the internet and high-tech fields, Ba added.
