Supporting young artists and exhibition curators and incorporating more digital technologies will be highlighted at an upcoming contemporary art exhibition at the Yellowbox Museum in Qingdao, Shandong province.

Open-up Exhibition, to launch on Aug 8, is a collaboration between Yellowbox and the Himalayas Museum in Shanghai and will run for a year.

The exhibition aims to be a launch pad for the younger generation to show their experimental approaches to art, and to explore ways to close the gap between the public and contemporary art.

Artists interested in the exhibition can submit their works to the organizing committee before Oct 15.
