More than 150 officials and business representatives attended the Made-in-China Sourcing Meeting, part of the second China-CEEC Expo held in Ningbo, to help develop international markets for small and medium-sized foreign trade companies.

The meeting has attracted buyers from 27 countries, including the US, Italy, Thailand, Nigeria and Uzbekistan, whose average annual purchase orders surpass one million US dollars, to talk with 70 suppliers from Zhejiang, Shanghai, Guangdong, Fujian, Sichuan and Jilin provinces.

"Zhejiang is an advantageous province of China, with a good industrial foundation. We have focused on this area for 18 years, and provided foreign trade companies with high-quality online and offline promotion services," said Zhang Lei, general manager of Made-in-China.com for Zhejiang.

"I have been doing purchasing business in China for more than 20 years, to bring high-quality products to Europe," said Claudio Vandelli, a buyer from Italy, and added he was looking forward to meet more partners.

At the meeting, companies can talk with buyers with clear purchasing needs, which is helpful to expand the market. Lydia Yang, manager for overseas markets at GIGO International Advertising Co Ltd, said: "It builds a bridge of communication so we can sell products more accurately and with a lower cost."

China's latest trade figures released by the General Administration of Customs on Monday showed over the first five months of 2021, the total value of China's foreign trade was 14.76 trillion yuan ($2.31 trillion), up 28.2 percent over the previous year.
