Musical comedy Aiyou Mama (Oops, Mom) was rereleased in Beijing on May 4.

Premiered in 2019, the drama is adapted from French play writer Moliere's The Miser, which combines electronic music, rock and roll and Huangmei opera.

According to Wu Qiong, a Huangmei opera artist, who plays the leading role in the comedy, the whole team made some changes to perfect the script for the replay of the show such as adding some Huangmei opera parts to make her role more loveable to the audience.

Yang Ting, director of the drama, said traditional Chinese opera is captivating that when the actors and crew leave the rehearsal venue after work, they subconsciously sing the Huangmei opera part in the drama.

The drama will run until May 9.
