Spartan race to unveil new year's fixtures
The 2020 Spartan Race will land in more than 10 cities, with more than 40 races in China in 2021. The race schedule and fixtures will be announced at the end of January during a year-end awards ceremony.
The race will be endorsed by HiPhi X, a supercar-inspired SUV produced by Chinese electric car startup Human Horizons.
The competition remained dynamic nationwide, despite social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 22,638 Chinese participants took part in a month-long online Spartan challenge, along with people from over 20 countries and regions all around the world, beginning at the end of April. Virtual training camps helped participants prepare for their dream races.
The races were restored in August, when the pandemic was brought under control in China. The country held 12 legs in nine cities.
The 2021 version is expected to attract around 140,000 racers and provide online training classes and classes tailored for HiPhi X owners.
