Head coach Hellmann parts ways with Fluminense

RIO DE JANEIRO - Fluminense have announced the departure of manager Odair Hellmann, who has accepted an offer from the United Arab Emirates.
The Rio de Janeiro side did not reveal the name of the club but local media reported that it is Dubai-based Al-Wasl.
"(We) thank the work done by Odair Hellmann and (his assistant) Mauricio Dulac and wish them success in the next stage of their careers," read a statement posted on Fluminense's website late on Monday.
Hellmann, 43, led Fluminense to 24 wins, 12 draws and 14 losses after taking charge of the club last December.
Marcao Aurelio, a member of Fluminense's backroom staff, will replace Hellmann until at least the end of the current season in February, the statement added.
Fluminense are currently fifth in the 20-team Serie A standings, eight points behind leaders Sao Paulo.
