Cybersecurity a popular issue at WIC 2020

A proposal on building a cyber community with a shared future was issued by the Organizing Committee of the World Internet Conference before this year's event, stressing that joint efforts should be made to advance internet development, strengthen cybersecurity and bolster cyber governance participation, as well as to share the benefits of development.

Cybersecurity has been repeatedly mentioned and emphasized by guests at the forum.

Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Russia cybersecurity company Kaspersky, made a speech at the WIC opening ceremony, putting forward his own thoughts on cybersecurity issues against the background of how the COVID-19 epidemic has changed people's ways of life and work in the world.
