Japanese technology company Konica Minolta's all-in-one IT solution called Workplace Hub made its debut in the Chinese market during the recently concluded China International Import Expo.

The solution, which mainly targets small and medium-sized businesses, is part of the company's attempt to facilitate Chinese companies' digitalization transformation, said Tadahiko Sumitani, president of Konica Minolta Business Solutions (China) Co Ltd. China Marketplace, a related software product, was also showcased at the exhibition.

A monthly package based on the Workplace Hub solution will soon be offered to Chinese SMEs, allowing them to perform unlimited scanning and printing without having to make large investments in printing equipment, said Sumitani.

"SMEs face many challenges after the epidemic. But they also have to prepare for the future. Therefore, technology investment is important as it allows companies to address their clients' pain points and scale rapidly after the epidemic," he said.

Also showcased at the third CIIE was the company's Mobotix system, which combines artificial intelligence, internet of things and big data. The system, which is equipped with thermal imaging functions, can provide visualized data support in manufacturing, medical and retail industries. Mobotix has already been used to monitor temperatures in some parts of China during the epidemic earlier this year.

"We have seen a rising demand for connected, smarter and digitalized office environment among Chinese clients. We will thus accelerate our digitalization process in China so that we can help them enhance their business value after the epidemic," said Sumitani.
