Andy Ho, President for China of Royal Philips

We are encouraged by President Xi Jinping's speech at the Expo, which stated that China will promote a new pattern of development dominated by a domestic circulating system and that both domestic and international circulating systems will be able to reinforce and complement each other. President Xi also reaffirmed China's commitment and determination to continue to expand market access, embrace globalization and improve the business environment.

In the context of the new normal of the pandemic, the CIIE is held as scheduled. It not only reflects China's great achievements in fighting the pandemic, but also highlights China's firm strategy on openness and inclusiveness, cooperation and innovation, mutual benefit, as well as the nation's responsibility as a major country to actively promote international cooperation and facilitate the recovery of the world economy as soon as possible.

As a multinational company, Philips has benefited from the long-term development of the Chinese market and its highly open business environment. The expo has established a valuable platform for exhibition and exchange, allowing multinational companies to be involved in China's development opportunities and grow together with the Chinese market. In the future, we will continue to focus on healthcare, make our contributions to help China realize the goals of Healthy China 2030, and support China's steady development toward a new stage.
