China to safeguard companies' rights in face of US restrictions

China will continue to take necessary measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin at a news conference on Monday, after he was asked about the US imposing restrictions on exports to Chinese chipmaker Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation.
