Wuhan Jianghan defeats Henan Jianye 2-1 in 2020 CFA Women's Super League opener

KUNMING -- Wuhan Chedu Jianghan University defeated Henan Jianye 2-1 in the opener of the 2020 Chinese Football Association (CFA) Women's Super League here on Sunday.
Before the game, players and team staff observed one minute of silence for the Chinese people who have died of COVID-19.
Xiao Yuyi gave Wuhan a 1-0 lead as she caught a pass on the left and broke into the penalty area before she hit the goal from small angle in the 11th minute.
Zeng Qingqing took a penalty chance to equalize for Henan in the 35th minute, while Wuhan scored again in the 71st minute and kept the lead to the end.
Also on Sunday, Jiangsu Suning edged Hebei China Fortune 3-2, Shanghai RCB stunned Zhejiang Hangzhou 5-0, Changchun Dazhongzhiye drew 2-2 with Shandong Ticai, and Beijing BG Development defeated Guangdong Meizhou Wuhua FC 2-0.
The entire Women's Super League new season will be played behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
